Protein Powder Mug Cake

Only costs 75 cents per serving! Healthy and cheap to make. Great for a post-work out snack or a well-deserved treat.

Protein Powder Mug Cake

Add up to 10-grams cocoa powder for a deeper flavor. As written it has a mild cocoa flavor. Sweetener is not necessary but it can be added depending on how sweet you like your cake.

Ingredients
  

  • 24 gram  Whey Protein Powder
  • 5 gram  Cocoa Dutch processed
  • 4 gram  All-Purpose Flour
  • 60 ml Unsweetened Almondmilk, Vanilla
  • 60 gram  Applesauce, Unsweetened
  • 1 tsp teaspoon equivalent to sugar substitute like Splenda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Add all dry ingredients into a cereal sized bowl or big mug, mix well.
  • Add applesauce, milk, mix. 
  • Microwave 2 minutes and 30 seconds stopping after 1-2 minutes to check if done. 
  • Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or fresh berries. 

Notes

I used ON 100% Whey but other whey/casein-based protein powders should also work. 
21-gram protein per serving.
