Spicy Glazed Tofu
The chili sauce gives a spicy flavor and the sweetness from hoisin sauce balances out the spice in this perfect combination.
Ingredients
- 200 gram Tofu Extra Firm
- 15 ml Less Sodium Soy Sauce
- 15 gram Chili Paste
- 5 gram Hoisin Sauce
- 0.5 teaspoon Ginger
Instructions
- Press the tofu.
- Slice tofu into thin slices, either lengthwise or crosswise.
- Mix all ingredients except tofu into a small bowl. Cover tofu slices with the mixture and place in the fridge to marinate for 30 minutes or an hour if you have the time.
Oven-Baked
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Bake tofu slices in the oven on a parchment covered cookie sheet for 20-30 minutes, flipping once.
Pan-fried
- Heat up a skillet over medium-high and coat with non-stick spray or sesame oil. Cook tofu slices for 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve in a salad, as the main entree, or in sandwiches.
