How to roast Spaghetti Squash
Used in many recipes for a healthy pasta alternative
Materials
- 1 whole Spaghetti Squash
Instructions
- Wash and dry the Spaghetti Squash
- Cut it in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. To make it easier to cut the squash: poke holes in the rind with a knife or fork. Microwave for five minutes and let cool. Then cut it in half.
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Lightly brush the insides with some olive oil or spray non-stick spray.
- Sprinkle with some spices such as salt, pepper, and garlic (optional)
- Use a fork or a knife and poke some holes in the rind.
- Place on a baking sheet, cut side down.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes depending on the size of your squash.For a more al dente, bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Let cool. Once cool enough to handle, use a fork to scrape the inside strands out.
