Chili Lime Chicken
A simple and tasty way to make chicken. Perfect for salads, a main course, in wraps, or for sandwiches.
Ingredients
- 450 gram Chicken Breast
- 0.5 teaspoon Chili powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt & Pepper
- 20 gram/ml Lime Juice
Instructions
- Mix spices and lime juice in a small bowl.
- If you do not have a thin chicken breast, butterfly it and pound it flat. This step is necessary because chicken breast has an uneven shape it will not make contact with the pan or grill to cook evenly as for example, steak does.
- Coat chicken breasts with the spice mix.
- Spray a skillet with non-stick spray or use a grill pan. Grill or pan-fry chicken for 6-8 minutes depending on the thickness of your chicken breast or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 F. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting.
Notes
If you want, you can leave the chicken in the fridge after coating it with the spice mix. I do not believe that
marinating chicken breasts is helpful in flavor or keeping the meat moist. Read these two articles for more
