Protein Powder Mug Cake
Add up to 10-grams cocoa powder for a deeper flavor. As written it has a mild cocoa flavor. Sweetener is not necessary but it can be added depending on how sweet you like your cake.
Ingredients
- 24 gram Whey Protein Powder
- 5 gram Cocoa Dutch processed
- 4 gram All-Purpose Flour
- 60 ml Unsweetened Almondmilk, Vanilla
- 60 gram Applesauce, Unsweetened
- 1 tsp teaspoon equivalent to sugar substitute like Splenda
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Add all dry ingredients into a cereal sized bowl or big mug, mix well.
- Add applesauce, milk, mix.
- Microwave 2 minutes and 30 seconds stopping after 1-2 minutes to check if done.
- Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or fresh berries.
Notes
I used ON 100% Whey but other whey/casein-based protein powders should also work.
